TERMS OF SERVICE
We gladly accept sales on layaway. However, we ask that layaway payments be made at least once per month, and payment to be completed within 3 months (90 days) of the date purchased. We also ask for a minimum of 20% down. Your down payment is non-refundable. If payment hasn’t been completed within 3 months of purchase, we will contact you to collect a final payment. If payment isn’t made within 7 business days, or if we cannot reach you, then we reserve the right to relist the item, and keep your down payment. We always welcome consignment items! Our consignment fee is 15% of the sale price of your item or $50, whichever is greater. Once photos are taken and an item is listed, M1 Garand is entitled to $50 for work completed for each listing. Gunbroker consignment sales may be subject to additional listing fees. All consignments are subject to our terms of sale (including layaway), and consignors are paid within 30 days upon completion of our 7 day inspection period. Please contact us before consigning so you can view our full consignment agreement.
Any collectible firearm we sell and represent includes a full SEVEN DAY no questions asked guarantee. This starts on the day the item is received. If a collector desires to get a second opinion, the 7 days should allow adequate time to show the item or send photos to another party (collector / expert) and either verify or refute our claims. This is a 100% guarantee, with a small caveat being if an item is sent back we will refund the entire cost, minus shipping to you. We do not cover the return shipping cost. The item must be returned unfired and in original/same condition as it left us.
In the event that a customer cancels an order in which credit card payment has already been processed, the order may be subject to processing fees if cancelation is a result of a buyer error.
ABANDONED PROPERTY POLICY:
Once any item (including firearms) is purchased in store, online, transferred in or out, to or from another location or has work performed on it, the customer will have 30 days to process and complete all required paperwork, make payment of any outstanding balance of cost or fees and remove the item from the M1 Garand building. Any items left at our location longer than 30 days will begin to accrue monthly storage fees. These fees will be assessed on the 1st of every month and must be paid in full before the item will be transferred out or picked up. Rates vary based on quantity and type of items, but there will be a minimum of $15 per month / per item. Those wishing to utilize M1 Garand as a storage facility must notify M1 Garand and complete the required storage agreement. The information, address, phone numbers and emails provided to M1 Garand at the time of sale, transfer or service will be used to attempt to contact the customers once ready for pickup. Attempted contact will first be made via phone OR email, then by certified letter to the address provided. Failure to respond to M1 Garand’ attempts to contact you (the customer) will result in the forfeiture of your item/items (including firearms) after a period of 90 days. M1 Garand is not responsible for the accuracy of contact information provided to our employees by the customer. All items that remain unclaimed after 90 days from beginning of attempted contact and final registered letter, will be considered abandoned property.
We can ship via FedEx, UPS and USPS (US Mail), although USPS is our preferred method of shipping unless stated otherwise by the customer. We will ship as soon as practical after your payment and license is received. Most items are sent priority mail and require an adult signature. Please note that items shipped internationally will be subject to additional shipping fees.
A Federal Firearms License (FFL 01) is required on all shipments of modern guns and an FFL 01 or FFL 03 Curio or Relic (C&R) is required for all eligible firearms to Curio and Relic (C&R) license holders (any firearm 50 years and older), for any doubts, we will always go by the latest ATF regulation. Once on file, another copy does not need to be sent until it requires renewal. FFL’s may be mailed, faxed or emailed to us with legible addresses and signature. Pre-1898 firearms and non-firearm items are exempt from this requirement.
We are willing to appraise any firearm. A small fee is charged, but if we are able to purchase the firearm the fee is waived.
All of our items are available on M1 Garand, we do not maintain an active retail store but an appointment can be made to view our merchandise.
All items on M1 Garand are usually available, but sometimes an item is sold via email, phone or in person to another customer prior to us taking if off the website. We will keep our website as current as possible.
All items may be ordered via the website shopping cart, phone, or email. Typical means of payment are by Credit Card (No extra charge), Check or Money Order.
Sales tax will be included when appropriate and required by law.
PLEASE NOTE: THE ONLY WAY TO GUARANTEE THE ITEMS IS YOURS, IS TO PURCHASE IT DIRECTLY FROM M1 GARAND AN EMAIL OR VOICEMAIL DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU THE ITEM, EVEN IF YOU EMAIL BEFORE THE ITEM IS PURCHASED.
