1/15/24 – This is a very nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand. The serial number on the receiver dates it to about November – December of 1943. The barrel is a replacement. The stock is a DOD marked replacement as well. The color of the upper handguard does not match the rest of the wood. The metal parts have retained nearly all of their finish with just some light scuffs here and there. Minty wood furniture. It comes with a canvas sling, but it is missing a rear sling swivel and the butt plate. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling. Muzzle reading: 2, Throat reading: 0.
